So far I'm really liking the switch from ACR/Bridge to LR. I've been using it as an excuse to update to Adobe's latest processing engine (2012) which has also allowed me to get rid of a ton of "intermediate" files that were filling my system.
Here was my original Smugmug workflow:
ACR -> 16 bit ProPhoto Tif (that I kept in folders) -> Small edit's in PS plus sharpening -> convert to sRGB jpeg (that I kept in another set of folders) -> upload to Smugmug
Now for Smugmug it's:
LR -> drag edited RAW to Publish folder -> publish to Smugmug
Now I'll only create Tif's when I need to do any editing in PS.
Glad to know it's working for you!
One great LR feature you can explore is Virtual Copies. You can create several "versions" of a single image without creating file copies. You can use VCs in collections as well, so, for example, a VC for SmugMug, a VC "original", a VC for printing, etc.
The only thing I've noticed is that you really need to be careful not to accidentally delete a bunch of files. You can restore then, but you lose all your edits

I went to delete a single file one time but had about 20 highlighted ... lesson learned.
Heh! Lesson learned!
Yeah, if you delete an image from the Library (not the disk) you through away all your edits/metadata. At least you still have the original on the disk, although you definitely want to use the appropriate "caution" when Deleting from the disk!
