I went Monday night, and it was less crowded than usual.

They have a special event on the night before the show opens to the public, and the cost is $125 to attend. It is expensive, but the money goes to a charity for the homeless in LA, and only a small number of people attend, making photography easy. I could not make it this year, but next for sure.
