A medium telephoto? They already have new 50 and 85mm... maybe a 135mm?

My wish? a 150mm f2.

Possibly their 50. They are obviously aware of all the complaints about QC, so they are no doubt aware that many of these revolve around the 50 1.4.

Their current 50 and 85 are not Art series lenses so I see them re-designing those two and releasing them next.

+1 for the redesign of the 50 and 85. 135 f/2 would be nice, but the Canon version is not that expensive, so unless Sigma can release one for $700 (which I doubt), it would be a bit pointless.

I agree that they will likely re-design the 50 and 85. An affordable 200/2 would be nice as well.

50 and 85 like everyone said - these are fantastic lenses and a bit of work in the AF area and the look of the new art series would do Sigma a world of good.

sigma 50mm...maybe sigma 30mm...that would explain the deal that's going on right now...i think literally every lens that's available now is going to be re-released under the new categories...

Sigma redesigns their lenses a lot... wouldn't be surprised to see them do some work on the 30, 50 and 85mm. The 30 and 50 in particular, they are probably sick and tired of people swapping them out to try to get a "good copy", or sending them in under warranty for calibration.

I'd probably bite on a re-designed 85mm if focus speed could come close to my 85 1.8 :)

I think the 30mm is too close in FL to the 35mm they just released (and I'm betting the 35mm will sell well to crop camera owners who have held back on the 30mm because they plan on going full frame one day).

You know what would be cool? Sigma doing either a 50mm or 85mm with f/1.2 - lots of people think the canon 50mm is too focus-shifty, and that the 85mm is too slow to AF, so if Sigma can do better with AF, they can pick up lots of ground there.

Plus, AFAIK, Nikon doesn't have f/1.2 glass in those focal lengths with auto-focus, so I bet they'd sell a bunch to Nikon users for that reason alone.

well they're reorganizing all their lenses into either Art, Sports, or Contemporary...and with how well the 30mm sells, it seems like it and the 50mm could easily be one of the first to be re-done..

so every lens that they currently have out, and plan to stick with is going to be re-released...I think the next few lenses they release will just be current lenses that have the new electronics, but will all be mostly the same as the previous versions...
