I generally use mpix for my printing, but not sure how to go about a problem. I have a 11.75-inch x 36-inch picture that I want to print. Any idea where I would get something like this done???

Any professional photography shop that has a 24 inch or 46 inch printer with roll paper could do it for you.

you may have to end up paying for a 24x36 and just having it cut to 11.75.
I have access to a printer that can easily print that size (they normally print very large banners 6'x36'). I can get it printed for about $35 shipped if you are interested.
this is the old unit they had (don't have a picture of thier new one)

Manny,

If they have a Roland inkjet as well, right on! (Porsche of large format printers.)

However, if the prints are coming off the Solie, watch out.
This printer, SolJet, is a sign making machine. The ink is actually a solvent that eats into the media.
Not quite the gammut of normal inkjets and not usable on most photographic media.
So you may not get what you expect out of Solie.

The Roland soljet they have is inkjet, says it does 1440x1440.
I had this print made a couple of weeks ago, turned out ok and was only a 500KB file and we didn't do any correction or anything, just loaded it into Versaworks and printed it at 30x40 and I cut it to fit into the 24x36 frame,

what is the picture you are trying to get printed? an actual large format inkjet image printer would probably do a better job, or one printed as an actual photo from lab.

Ive been wating to buy a large format printer for the longest time ever... Ever since i want to a Canon coppier/graphics meeting for a buisness copy unit.. I saw this large format printer. The canon guy was nice enought to allow me to come back with a TIFF file of a picture i shot, and gave me a free print. 48" Wide, 60" Long... I havent framed it yet, but i will made one myself since i have a lot of wood working tools.

The pictures color was ... amazing.. Cost of unit.. was also amazingly... HIGH
