Looking through their feedback it sounds like the only big complaint is missing warranty cards. Will see what turns up. Have no issue filing a claim if theres a bigger issue. They do have a surprising number of negatives though. No doubt the flood of orders they are seeing helps little in processing orders etc. I dont mind waiting a few days to save a few $$ - will see how long that is though.

Also - anyone else scratching their heads at the large number of $7000 - $9000 auctions they have for inexpensive items. Is that some sort of work around with e-bay to qualify for something?

There's no doubt that there is some sort of sketchiness surrounding Big Value Inc. They are on off-shoot company of the infamous Broadway Photo, which had a long-standing history of unscrupulous activities until the State of New York fined the tar out of them and eventually shut them down.

However, I must point out that aside from occasional slow order processing, not a single POTN member has had an issue yet when buying from Big Value through eBay over the last couple of months. Everyone has reported back that they received everything as described, with no hassles from the company. I'm not endorsing Big Value Inc, and I prefer to stick with the more established reputable retailers, but there hasn't been any recent issues. In spite of this, I would still recommend caution and careful consideration before buying from them. Others' mileage may vary.

Crossed my mind too - when they sell 265 camera in a few hours it is over $600 000. No doubt the potential is there for issue but factoring in Paypal and Credit Card protection it is safe enough (not like I am giving them my credit card number - something other online scam companies have made an issue with).

Would certainly rather deal with B&H or Adorama and give them my business - but if I can save a few hundred $$ it helps.

On a side note - Ordered a grip yesterday from B&H for the camera - already delivered today. (Oh how I love those guys!!)

That's just being paranoid, they are a legitimate company and are just making less per camera but selling in bulk. It is odd that they have inexpensive lenses for ridiculous prices though, that is kind of shady but I wouldn't hesitate to order anything from these guys. While waiting for my order to ship, I called their customer service and they were helpful in letting me know what was going on.

They aren't B&H by any means but for what they are they do a good job.
