What's a good specialty lens to have?

What do most here think is a great specialty lens that they own or would like to own? This lens must be reasonably priced and not one that's always on the camera, but taken out for that special situation or for that wow factor. I ask this because I am only a hobbyist with the usual lens lineup but am looking for a wow me lens.
What is that lens to you?

Lensbabys look like fun.
Other than that I'd not waste your money, just save it for something that really catches your eyes.

Fisheye lens, maybe. It adds a little "bang" to a shot - so long as you use it sparingly, or you'll tire it out ;)

My specialty lens is the 10-22, but a fisheye, like the 8mm Rokinon would be a good occasional-lens.

OP already has the 100L, by looks of their signature.

I have rented the Lensbaby. It is fun, but the fun with it does not last long. The 8mm-15mm is a blast. The fun never stops.

It all depends, are you looking for something that is different, or just has great IQ and killer bokeh?

I have been thinking the 135L or the new Sigma 35mm f1.4.

Ahh so you are after a terrific prime lens. If this helps I have 3 primes, 35, 50 and 85. The 35 is the one I use most (it is a 35L though, not Sigma). I often feel I want longer than the 85 so a 135 is somehwere in my future. If I had to give some up it would be the 50 first, then maybe the 85 because there is no way I would be without the 35.

I think the Sigma would be a great choice.

I like vintage lenses, especially the ones that swirl the bokeh. You just don't get that with modern lenses.

and they're cheap, you can get 2-4 nice ones for $100 easily on ebay.

Canon 15mm 2.8 fish eye on your 5D II. Amazing sharpness and MFD. Lots of cool possibilities when not over done.
