How useful is the 60D's expanded ISO, Exposure and Kelvin settings? I believe the T series doesn't have this. I recently purchased a T4i but I'm thinking of returning it and get the 60D. The price has come down in the past 3 weeks that it's almost the same price as the T4i. While I like the touchscreen, it's more of a novelty for me. It's an improvement from the T3i for sure which I bought and returned also for the T4i. I do miss the T3i's video crop in 1080p though, it's very useful in concerts/shows for close-ups in full HD. I believe the other 2 doesn't have it.

If you mean 1/3 ISO's? I love this option.. the 18mp bodies produce less noise at 160 ISO increments. For example, ISO 160/320/640/1250. I really notice the difference.. for me, 160 is cleaner than 100, 320 is as clean or cleaner than 200, and 640 is as clean or cleaner than 400. This essentially gives me an extra 2/3 stop for shutter speed or smaller aperture. I find that the advantage dissipates around ISO 1250..it's not any better or maybe even quite as clean as 1000.

Anyways, noise aside, it still gives you a little more fine-control, so you may only have to adjust aperture or shutter speed by 1/3 stop, rather than a whole stop, when adjusting ISO.

Yes that's the one. I didn't know of this feature until I saw a youtube vid of it. The T4i has 9 ISO presets while the 60D has 20 incremental presets and the ability to punch in manual color temps! I wish I knew about those features before making the purchase.

I believe the term you're referring to is ISO increments, not ISO expansion. Expanded ISO refers to turning on the H ISO feature which allows you to set a maximum ISO of 12800 instead of 6400 on the 60D. This is set by the C.FnI: Exposure - ISO expansion custom function. The option to set ISO to whole stops or 1/3 stop increments is set in the CFnI: Exposure - ISO speed setting increments custom function. The Custom Functions are available on the Custom menu.

Yes you're right. I meant expanded presets not expanded range.
