Looking for ideas for family Christmas shots!

I have a small family coming over tomorrow night for some Christmas card shots and am looking for ideas. I want to do the "flash in the present" shot where the family is looking into a wrapped box with a flash inside providing most of the exposure lighting their faces and anything else that would make some interesting photos.
I would like to see your shots using the above mentioned technique (or any other ideas!) with some set-up information if possible. Thanks and post away!

I posted these a couple of days ago, here's my results with the box. Now these are using a wire mesh "present" that I purchased from a craft store. These do have a light bulb in them, so they are meant to be a light up decoration. I just took my flash, put the light dome on it so the light would be universal in direction, put the pocketwizard on and sat the box on top of it. I did have to play with the levels to black the background out a bit, but I like the results. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the post above! That is similar to what I would like to try...I would really like to do one with the box open on top and the family looking into it. I saw a post on here with the desired effect but am unable to find it again. Thanks again!
