Canon 50mm 1.4, or Rokinon 85mm 1.4?

Recently I've been offered up two great deals on each of these lenses, and I'm really not sure which way to lean. I can't ignore all the reviews of the Rokinon saying how sharp it is, but the full time manual would definitely fall behind compared to the Canon. As far as image quality goes, I've heard a lot of stories of the 50mm, some good, some not so much. I have the 1.8 and the AF is a killer. I'd most likely be using either lens for car shots and as a walk around prime. Having the 50 1.8 already, should I go for the 85 and give it a whirl, or should I upgrade and go 1.4? Anybody have both and can compare?

The 50mm f/1.4 is sharp. Only the pixel peepers will complain. 50mm f/1.4 AF is faster, more accurate, less noisy, the build quality is better, and it will be sharper and have a larger aperture than your f/1.8. And the autofocus is basically a must for me on anything that isn't wide angle to super wide angle. I rather have more keepers than more super-sharp-rokinon-manual-focus shots.

I have nothing but love for rokinon lenses, the 35 took some of the most beautiful photos I've ever taken, and the 14 is stellar, but there's a reason I don't own the 35 anymore... I really like autofocus.

I have an eg-s focusing screen and I really took the time to get accurate and quick with MF(I followed someone's advice and practiced by taking photos of car license plates as they drove by, trying to keep them in focus and snap a few shots, sounds ridiculous, but I got pretty good pretty quick).

MF opens up some doors for creative shots and allows you to slow down and make the best out of an image, but it definitely slows you down. The slowest AF I've ever used was still much faster than I was at manually focusing the 35, and it's only more difficult the longer you go. 85mm @ 1.4 makes for some extremely narrow DOF. If I were you, I'd save up the extra dough for the Sigma 85(which is ridiculously good) or go with the 50 1.4.

MF might be great for you though, it just wasn't worth it for me.

This right here is exactly what I'm experiencing. The Samyang primes all have the potential to take absolutely amazing photographs, but the manual focus 9 out of 10 times is what is going to let you down.

Yea the manual focus is what I'm really worried about. A majority of the time I'm shooting still stuff anyway, but those times where I'm not, I don't want to regret the purchase.
