The backlight stops lighting up after 2 years of extremely light use. My sister only uses the laptop once a month. Sometimes she does not touch it for several months in a row.

Many will be considered grey market and you will not get the proper warranty coverage you would expect. moreover, it is hard to control the level of product out of ebay, is is refurb, is it open box, etc. The seller may believe it to be level one product, but who knows who sold it to the seller.
