So I was pretty convinced all kestrels one day had a secret meeting where they decided they would never let me get a photo of them...and if by chance they messed up...it would only be on a wire, or other manmade object....

well this guy must've been sick for that meeting :)

Beautiful capture of a male kestrel. Mine are usually on a wire, too. Looks like you moved around for a different angle and it didn't fly off. Great. The first shot looks like he has a bug. Did you see him eat it?

yeah i managed to scoot around to get in front of him...he ate the bug(grasshopper i think) while i was there...seemed to go quickly. He didn't really fly off, actually ended up flying in front of me and landing two more times when i was leaving...i may have to visit him again.
