This lens is currently on sale at B & H for $239, and has many good reviews. Thought some of you might be interested for astro use.

I have always been interested in the rokinons but I heard bad stuff about it for astro http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/astrotrac/message/1978 (external link)

I have one and took it out for its first flight a couple of nights back.
Stars are round out to the corners with it wide open but the CA is pretty bad. However, that was reduced to what I would consider a manageable level by f/2.8.
Overall, I'm very happy with it.

So just stopping down reduced CA's? I wonder if lightroom could fix it , sure would be nice to shoot f1.4

I don't have Lightroom but I have other tools that "fix" CA. Yes it will get rid of the purple ring, but it can't put back whatever should have been there like faint nebulosity, etc.
There aren't many lenses that are free of any aberrations when used wide open. Especially at that price.
