Dec 9 was an amazing day! After a few weeks of temps to -38C, the thermometer started to rise, topping out at -9C.

Clearer skies delivered a brilliant sunrise ...

THREE

Just after noon, we headed out for some play in the warm weather.
We stopped here because I took a tumble off my sled. Upon climbing out of the snow, I was struck by the beauty of the valley below us.

FOUR

Then the sun setting again delivered some brilliant colour

Today the temps reached a high of -6C. Skies were not so brilliant though!

4 and 6 for me. Like the human element in 4; really adds a sense of feeling to the image.

Nice series, Sue. Yukon has such beautiful country. It's a shame so few people get to see it.
