Gandalf the great grey owl

This is Gandalf the grey, he is of course a captive owl and is a bit of a wuss, he dosent like flying in open spaces, which is not a problem as he spends most of the day peering out of the window looking at the people, dogs, horses etc that go pass.
When his owners moved up to Knowsley Sarari park last year while they were building his avery they kept him in this building and he wouldn't move out when it was finished so this is now his home, the door is open most days so he pops out and sits on the posts and fence outside whenever he feels like it.

Gandalf the grey! Great name! I like how he seems to be craning his neck and peering out of the window from the side to see what's going on outside.

That is pretty funny. I feel bad for him though, he should be out using those wings. Is he a cuddle bug though? Or is he rather anti-social?

Wonderful story and great shot. Kinda looks like a kid looking out wishing he could go play.
