I was trying to shoot the 'warm effect'. Comments please

I like both them. Althought the first appears a little dark, but I don't know if you would be able to brighten the mother/baby and keep the tree looking like it does.

Very nice shots, quattrosnow !
Love the atmospher.

I passed the image through DXO to do the white balance and light editing. Then noise reduction + some sharpen brush on the eyes and ears.
I love the result. especially the outside color which turned even more bue, whic I love the most in the series.

Apologies if I'm crashing this thread :o but I took this shot on NYE of a friend and I too was going for the warm effect. I did put it through PS and took off some of the cast but it made the image look a bit hard in my opinion. Comments welcome...

This is what I can do with DXO. More control would be possible on a RAW file. Whatever the control, perfect WB sometimes kills the atmosphere. I'm afraid this happened there...
