First off, let me say that I am super new to speedlighting and may be asking a stupid question but I'm putting my flame suit on to try to learn.

I'm interested in getting a yn 622c to trigger my flash off camera especially since I'd like to start using it with a shutter speed higher than 1/250. With my current setup of 1 430ex its simple to set up one trasmitter on the camera and one on the speedlite. But if I was to purchase another speedlite to have 2 on seperate stands, or one on the camera and one on the stand, what is the most economical way to achieve this. Do i have to buy another pair of triggers at $100 dollars or something cheaper, or even a single transmitter.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You can do a flash on-top and a remote flash with 2 units. Three are needed for two remote flashes.

Some merchants are advertising single units, and others will supply odd numbers on request.

Some vendors (Link) (external link) are already selling single YN-622C transceivers. As far as I know, they aren't "official" single packs but the usual twin pack split so there may not be any pretty packaging. Yongnuo themselves (external link)(Link to official YN eBay shop - beware, there is a very similar sounding shop which is NOT the correct location) themselves are purported to be starting official single packs in the near future - "around Christmas" has been mooted (bit late for delivery now but still chance to squeeze one in before the Chinese New Year holiday starts on February 10th). Until such time, the 1st link above has provided excellent service to a heck of a lot of folks here.

Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!

I got mine on eBay, 2 two sets for about $150, $75ish each set. I'd say just get 4 and have the fourth has a back up or use it in your pocket to Test fire.

I got mine on ebay 1 set from US seller and one single YN622 from this ebay seller. http://www.ebay.com …_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 (external link) I had good experience and i received it in a weeks time after placing the order. It came in the same box as the pair but with only one transceiver and it works fine.

Fantastic, thanks for the info guys. I appreciate you doing the legwork for me to find the right items. Any suggestions for a quality second flash both with ETTL or just manual as a second flash.
