Just curious as to what everyone charges if a client request extra edited photos, on top of what you already do. Do you charge hourly or per edited photo?

Thanks in advance!

All of my images are edited. Any photoshop I do would require a print or album purchase. I would not just do an edit.

I don't have any issues doing extra edits provided they are reasonable.

Anything that I think will take more than an hour I'd probably bring up some kind of fee.

That said, I do weddings, where clients have already invested a fair sum with me--ie., I don't at all mind doing a bit of extra work if it will really seal the deal in terms of their happiness with the work.

Most are nothing more than removing a blemish here or an unexpectedly exposed bra strap there. Quickly and easily done for a client who has already paid me plenty to photograph their wedding so n/c.

It depends on the edit request. Blemish removal or random cloning is no charge. Removing reflections from eyeglasses on 300 photos will run into some money.

Generally though, single photo edits are no charge.

There wouldn't be anything extra to edit as everything is already edited.

Depends on the requested edit.

As mentioned above, all photos are edited to some degree. WB, crop/rotate/straighten, minor exposure corrections if I do ETTR (which I usually try to do), contrast, etc - those go without saying. Maybe I'll do a B&W conversion or other specialty correction as I see fit, or some background cleanup to make the photo how I originally saw it.

"Make me thirty pounds lighter and fifteen years younger?" ... yeah, there's an extra charge for that.

For simple requests I just do it. For complex requests I send a quote, I outsource anything complex.

That's quote egotistical. What if someone said "I'd like a mole removed", "hide a bra strap", "remove an exit sign". Surely you don't do that for every image? That'd take days.

They get basic color correction included.

If they want anything more, they have to buy a print of it and they do not receive the high-res digital copy, only a FB-quality sized one (600px max).
