2 Questions - Any trick to mounting a tripod head on a slider base? I'm attempting to mount the head from my Monfrotto Monopod onto a Glidetrack Hybrid. But every time I screw the head tight onto the Glidetrack, it always stops at an incorrect angle. I need it facing perpendicular to the slider. If I loosen it at all, I get a slight wobble when using the slider.

Also, I'm attempting to mount the slider on to a Ravelli AVTP Pro Tripod. Any advice for this?

Try some different size washers from a hardware store.

Does the head from your monopod have a pan function? If you're using the head from a 561BHDV then it doesn't do pan, the pan function is built into the monopod base. That head is essentially a 701HDV head without the pan feature. The washer suggestion might make the head stop at a different angle although I don't know how solid the connection would be.
