Hello friends,
I have recently purchased a t3i and believe it or not a t4i because of really good deals (my brother bought one and I another, my brother plans on keeping one). He is planning to keep one but here's the problem:

I only have lightroom 3.6 and I cannot use the t4i with LT 3.6 (at least I am pretty sure I can't). I am hesitant to upgrade to Lightroom 4 due to slower performance speeds. I did a free trial once and I did notice it.

From quick research the t3i has better iso performance at 1600 which does come in handy for me trying to achieve good ambient light and using flash.

T4i has a better AF system and does a fairly better job in low light which could come in handy. I have read of very good reviews about the touch screen as well... Which one to keep? I shoot everything from landscapes, interiors, portraits, and weddings (usually rent a better body he he).

If you have both why don't you do your own comparison? That's the ideal situation when trying to decide between two bodies.
You already know the advantages/disadvantages of each because you can actually shoot with and handle each if you want right?
Not sure how about the LR thing though. Only have LR4 so I don't know about speeds compared to LR3

i'd keep the t4i, it's newer. sell the t3i and upgrade what it would take in your computing platform to run one of the LR4 variants.

Test them and decide for yourself. I just bought a T3I and feel comfortable with that. Of course I still use my G10 so having the latest and greatest isn't all that important to me. As for as Lightroom goes you can always convert your files to.dng and solve the problem of having to update software everytime you change cameras. I have used .dng since LR 1 and have not found a single negative to it yet. I recently went from LR 2 to LR 4 and did not notice a real performance difference as for as time goes. Good luck.

sent the t4i back until you need the hit and miss continious AF in video. Save the money and buy good glass.

I used LR3.6 for about a month before switching to the 4.0 beta, I'm now on 4.1. I did not notice a significant speed difference between them. I would not hesitate to upgrade to the latest version, IMO Process 2012 is brilliant. Being a user of older bodies (300D & 20D) it was almost like getting a body upgrade.

Just an FYI, LR4 has an update 4.3, and it has shown improvement from 4.1 out of the box (which I am assuming performs quicker than the 4.0 beta). I'm running it on a mid 2009 MBP and it still runs smoothly.

Sell them both? You'd be able to pick up a 7D...

650D. You get 9 cross type AF points instead of only 1 with the 600D.

+1 L4 is much better, especially the revamped highlight controls and pushing clarity doesn't halo nearly as bad as LR3.

speed difference has been minimal for me... i have noticed an improvement or degradation, still using LR4.1, i never upgraded to 4.2 but will probably now to 4.3

The t4i is geared for the new STM lenses, which could be a plus to you if you're doing any video. The 40mm is stellar IMO.
