Maybe they'll be dressed in hockey jerseys and skate during the processional ?

Good luck and let us know how it went.

I've been doing it for 9 years I am still nervous sometimes(though it's more of a excitement)
It's the hardest field of photography in my opinion. Those who deny it just don't care about it or don't know anything about it. (external link)

I am kinda' in the same boat as you are, though I'll only be a 2nd shooter tomorrow. I guess that takes some pressure off. Just make a list of what you have to bring to keep yourself on top of things.

Well I survived the day, I will post some photos here in the next day or two. It was a extremely long day as I did the wedding in the morning and afternoon then had a hockey game to shoot this evening

Weddings are only as stressful if you make it - I talk to the bride several times before the weeding day and then in the morning. Let her know I'm going to be around a lot but don't think about me or a fake smile I will capture you... and you will love them! Have fun and make sure to connect with them.

I don't shoot weddings for a living either and I just shot my third on Saturday. I always manage to get roped in. My daughters best friend with no money and no help from anyone managed to set her wedding and reception up at very minimal costs and asked me if I wouldn't mind taking a couple pictures. Even though is was free I did the whole thing as it should be. I'm not a wedding photographer by any means but she seemed happy with the results. Just make sure your equipment is ready to go, make a mental list of everything you want to capture, ( maybe wright it down if your really nervous) then go have a good time. Take extra batteries for the flash.

Good Luck

Bill

Here are some of my favorite images from the wedding day. I made a mistake and shot everything tight not thinking about a 8x10 print size (fail) but I did tell the bride that everything will look good in a 8x12 print matted in a 11x14 frame :)

https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1257688

anyways I had a lot of fun shooting and wouldn't mind doing another one. I think the fact that the bride and I are friends made it all go really smoothly.
