New lense and the moon (£100 / $180)

I brought the lense new from ebay last week for £104 for my 350d, i know i know its cheap and not realy that practical but not a total loss. Tonight was the first night in weeks there has been no cloud
Please go easy on me as this is one of the first pictures taken on the 350d which turned up last week all i have used before that was a snap 'n' go.
Yes new and green.

Doesnt look bad. How is the lense? I might pick one up just for fun. Is it decently sharp?

As a 'fun' lense its ok, biggest gripe is the lack of mount on the body for tripod/monopod but hey you get what you pay for
