Can someone please guide me in the right direction..

The two things il be using are:

- SmallHD monitor
- Zoom audio recorder (in hotshoe)

Basically want a rig kind of a setup.. where the monitor can be mounted onto something.. because the zoom controller will be in hotshoe (this is where id normally mount the monitor)

Want the kind of setup which can be hand held, and then quickly be able to set it up on a Slider type of a setup for some slider shots.

Any ideas?

What kind of rig are you looking for? What are you shooting? I have a Gini shoulder mount rig, a Redrock Micro run and gun rig but typically mount my SmallHD DP6 with a shotgun mic on my hotshoe with a Uni-cube (external link). The monitor hangs off of the back with a small shoemount ballhead that is attached with the 1/4-20 screw to the top of the monitor. Are you using an H1, H2 or an H4n? The one thing I would caution about using the hotshoe is that too much weight will weaken it.

If you have rails use a friction arm. Much better than having it on the cold shoe, more movement so you can place it virtually anywhere you want.
