I got the canon 60D with the 15-85 f/3.5-5.6 15-85mm USM IS lens. Now, if you were me, what would be your next logical acquisition. I have to say that I am still learning photography and I have a long way to go. I don't know if I should buy a flash as well. I would also like to take some indoor pictures as outdoor, maybe have a better lens for bokeh hence why I have thought of 40mm canon do some closeups! I was hesitating between those:
Canon 40mm pancake f/2.8
Canon 50mm f/1.8
Canon 35mm f/2
Canon 500d mounted on my current lens
Canon Flash 430 EX II
Thank you for your thoughts!
My questions for you are these:
1) How much money you got or can you save?
2) How much money are you willing to spend (probably more important than #1)?
3) Can you be more specific on your subject goals. Indoor and Outdoor are very generic. Are we talking portraits (indoor or outdoor), sports (indoor or outdoor), macro, wildlife, landscape, architectural, street/PJ, weddings/events, etc?
Now, just analyzing your initial post, I'm going to go against everyone here and say do not invest in a flash right now. And if you are going to go ahead and buy a flash anyway, there are better and cheaper options than 430EX. Just my opinion. Others will vehemently disagree.
