Hi, just got started with macro, obviously have a lot to learn. I don't really want to take pictures of bugs, so grabbed something else I had laying around.

Good detail but subject matter doesn't do it for me. Quite tricky to shoot macro on a regular basis if you are not into bugs which are the subject that gets most folk started.

I hear ya. For me right now, it's more about seeing if I can get the technical aspects down. Going to try some other things like liquids down the road.

C'mon, RM, that's a HELL of a lot more interesting for a first time out than cellphones and keyboards. :D

The stress on the stitch holes is really cool, too.

I like the shots. They are way better quality than my first attempts, and they are interesting to me.

Nice work. Interesting subject, good DOF, good lighting. I'd say you'll get the "bug" before too long:lol:. Keep it up;)

There are lots of things other than bugs that you can point your macro lens at and get terrific results, you've made a good start, keep it up!
