I am not sure if this is the right section for this thread, so Moderators please feel free to move this to the correct photo sharing section if I've posted it in the wrong section.

I shot this on a very foggy Sunday morning. These tracks go right by a secluded pond in a wooded area. I was attempting to take some shots of birds in the pond when I looked behind me and noticed how the tracks lead into the fog. I am pleased with how this one turned out. I hope you enjoy it as well. Comments and critiques always welcome.

Thanks! I thought about doing that too, but then I liked how it announced the location. But I think you're right...probably would look a lot better without that in it.

Thank you everyone. I still like the original version better. I think it has more character with the shack. But that's the great thing about photography; there are different opinions and likes across the board, and editing allows us to meet others' tastes. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :D

Kind of amazes me how warped steel can become over many years of neglect. I'm guessing these rails haven't been used in a very long time.

Great shot.

You're right. These tracks are seldom used and when they are, it is for just moving train cars across our town to be joined at another track with a full train. I've lived here since 1991 and I think I've been stopped by a train at this set of tracks twice.

Fine picture, superb play of light. I admit that original shot with that shack is more interesting although it make a little bit of distraction.
