I have never seen that in front of the UN. How long has it been there? Kind of makes you wonder who chooses sculptures and such for buildings?

As I said, it was donated by a Scandanavian country, I believe, though which one escapes me. It has a plaque. I believe it's been there since the '70s, at least the '80s.

It's actually meant to signify peace, disabling guns. That taken into account would, in my humble opinion, make it apropos.

Did you hear the story about the anatomically correct elephant sculpture that was given to UN by some african county. They had to plant some very thick bushes to hide his "manhood".
