Giant Crested Cactus - a new find

this is a new find for me - it is one of those special crested Cacti - I was so mad and sad when some one cut off the other one on the 4 peaks road - hope this does not happen here - I won't be giving the location out -

For some reason Photobucket is down and I have been unable to access my pictures-so now I am trying to use flickr but I am not sure how to get the picture into POTN I can only seem to get the link - if someone will explain what I need to do to get the picture to appear -please let me know -

beautiful specimen Marcy, I've never seen one like that. How rare are they? Why would someone want to cut it down?

I know with some species of cactus, you can grow them just from a cutting. That could be why it was cut. Someone wanted it for their yard. I hate it when people think they own these things then ruin it for everyone else.

That is one massive crested! I've never seen anything like this. Must have been shot today--I see snow on the background mountain.

Ugh that's really sad. What low lives. I don't blame you for protecting the location of this other one.
