Try this
http://www.joann.com …x18-clear/zprd_01971233a/ (external link)

Cut it a smaller than the foam and put it between the 2 foam sheets..

Ok..that may work...2 foam sheets don't work because the lower part that attaches to the flash is only about 2 1/2 inches wide..you put that little part on the flash and attach with velcro or rubber band and the top just flops over, too top heavy. So your plastic idea may work..

At those prices you'd be better getting the Rogue Flashbender:

No way..that thing looks horrendous and not very professional at all. PLUS it isn't as big as I need..but even if it was, I'd not get one...abetterbouncecard studio pro is what I need.

I am making something to act like a mini soft box..at least 11or 12x13 size and they will be used ONLY on 2 flashes that I will use on manual setting for studio type lighting when I don't want to break out the regular studio strobes and carry them and that big case around.

got it..thank you..now on how to paint the backside black to make it really look professional. Then I guess use glue or superglue around the edges to attach the two pieces together. My wife said to use 2 sided tape so we'll see what works best.

If you use the black color on the back no painting required...

Really the flashbender looks less professional than some craft foam glued together?

yes it does...go to www.abetterbouncecard.com (external link) and look at their shape and everything...then look at the flash bender..sharp corners, wrinkled, etc..better bounce card, great rounded corners..all smooth front and back and can be cut to any size..

very much more pro looking.

plus I don't need all that bending forward, around, etc....

Plus I can buy foam for .27 cents a sheet and cut what you need and paint.

Interesting, I have seen it in multiple colors...black being 1 of them at the craft store..

Yeah, I have found them in other colors also. So you are saying to buy a roll of white and a roll of black and put those together with the plastic between?

I'm hoping to find two sided..one side white and the other side black.

This better Bounce card looks a bit better than the demb flip to me. Ive just about wore out the velcro on mine. For me, when someone is paying me 3K to shoot a wedding........Its got to look professional. These better bounce cards look very clean, I like the better bounce black thingy much better than the black foamy thing that neil shows.......These look professional. Something to consider.......perception is reality.

Yes it is. have you ever seen the black foamy thingy that Neil uses? It is all wrinkled and all kinds of shapes it looks like it was bent into, not professional looking at all. In my opinion, you need to look professional and so should your equipment. Neil is a big supporter of the spinlight360 system but hardly uses it at all. It has been nearly 1 year since that thing came out and still no videos of it in actual use except for Neil shooting a little in an all white room which is not real world conditions..

Oh well, Neil is a pet peeve with me.

3K? Oh wow, I would not know what to do if someone paid me my $1200K. I have only done 2 weddings this year and that is because they don't want to pay any money, they get friends and family members to do it all, they want price around here and think very little of qualit. A pro friend of mine has his own studio and has only done 3 weddings this year. Charleston, WV is not the area for high end paying weddings.

You could look at the large Flashbender coupled with the diffusion panel. http://www.expoimaging.com …ds=Rogue_Diffusion_Panels (external link)
I lay mine flat and stick them in the computer pocket in my bags.
