Ready to part with the $$$ for a real lens.... looking at a:
USA Model Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM

Will this model fit mine and is this a good choice for this camera? I saw several for sale and the ad mention the T2i and later cameras... I'm trying to stay under $1200....

A friend of mine is using the very same lens on an even older body the XTI
It's one of canon's best zoom lenses so I am sure you will love it

It'll fit...great lens...I used to have the non-IS version on older cameras (as old as a 10D!). Worked just fine :D

Ya great lens, I used to have the non-IS version as well. The IS version is even sharper than the non-IS, and as others said it will fit your camera.
