From now until Dec. 29th, a D600 + 24-85mm VR lens is under $2000 at all of the major retailers. Many places are bundling extras like a free wireless transmitter, battery, case, monopod, or SDHC card into that package.

Pretty crazy price for a new D600 considering that the lens retails for $5-600. Include the value of the extras like the extra battery and SDHC card, and you're essentially looking at ~$1400 for the camera body alone.

I wonder what effect this will have on the resale value of D600s after the fire sale ends.

That extension sure is interesting. Maybe good for Canon people?

Bleh, Canon keeps offerings deals on the 5D2 in response. I wish they'd do something with the 5D3 or the 6D :)

I'll be in NY in a couple of days. Maybe I'll pick one up from B&H... ;)

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a 5D Mark II. If I had the money I'd be buying one. A friend of mine just bought one for $1500. Brand new.

I think Canon needs to make the 5D mark II like 1299 or 1199. Great camera, but it is several years old. Or drop the 6D down to 1799 to compete.

Thats just me.

I found this comment oddly suspenseful. What happened to poor bentlax33 before he could finish typing it out, I wonder...?

Adorama says, "baa humbug!". D600 bundle prices raised $200 to $2,197. BH hasn't raised its price yet.
