Just a whine and some advice. I sent my Metz 76 Mz5 and the sca in for repair after it just stopped working no power on the sca read out. I could fire it with the test button but that was all. I got the estimate for the repair today $615 :shock:. At that price I think I would do a lot better with a new Canon flash. The majority of my photography is wild life so I am open to advice on what flash to get

So the display is out which is not a $600 part and it could just be a bad connection.

I would try a DIY repair after buying another unit (if possible) with a dead bulb for parts and swap the guts.
