I was in Marfa, TX a few weeks ago and had a little time to walk around with my camera.

There is some beautiful art around the Chinati Foundation, by Donald Judd, Dan Flavin, John Chamberlain and others.
Very special light in and around the desert.

Going back there to play concerts in June, looking forward to a few free days to absorb some of that light...

All I know is that the place was the D. A. Russell Fort before it was bought by Donald Judd and transformed into a museum. Some buildings (armories, barracks, etc) were left intact and some were transformed into exhibition spaces.
I didn't see anything mentioning the Russian writings, and the people I was with didn't know it either.
