A Canon T4i kit.

Just kidding. I'll be picking up a rebel T4i. Is there any reason not to grab this camera compare to others? My budget is $500-$800 bucks only.

Nice!

Will you use your current lenses or will you get the 18-135mm IS STM kit?

AF of the T3i is definitely inferior to the T4i!

I thought the cross type AF on the T4i is more superior? I really like the touch screen feature on the t4i and the higher ISO control compare to the t3i. Haven't done much research on these rebel.

As far as lens. I want to stay with a kit lens since I'll be doing a lot of walk around. I've seen some image from the 18-135mm and I think it looks great. I'm not really a big fan of the 18-55mm but it's cheaper I guess.

Should I just bite the bullet and grab the t4i with the 18-135mm? Or it doesn't matter.

Get the 18-135mm IS STM. The T4i + the STM were made for each other!

Yeah, like 2 or 3 of every 10 shots are sharp!

Why cripple the camera with an such unreliable lens?

For pay or special event I'll bring out the heavily 5D3 gripped. I couldn't bare leaving such a expensive camera in my car even if it was hidden. When I'm running errands or need a camera for a random shot.

I don't do P&S cameras, and the rebel lines are really light and produce great photos. I'm just loyal to Canon.

And now for the inevitable, why not a used or refurbished 7d? :)

It's out of my budget, plus I want something light and portable. I had a 7D and all thought I loved it. I rather have a zero mileage camera for around 600-800 bucks.

I don't need a sports camera, my 5D3 does that better then the 7D. I just need a portrait and family camera. A camera that I don't feel bad about giving to the wife or family member to take pictures when I'm busy doing other things. LOL.
