Holy cow! In the slow motion, you really see how lucky that poor baby was. He doesn't look much older than my daughter. I am so glad he seems to be ok.

It looks like some animation students in Montreal were having a bit of fun and made this 'child snatching eagle' video up.

LOL.... I usually research before I post, and did this time but somehow missed that.

They did a good job at getting hits.

In Canada, we have a 36" minimum. Clearly the footage shows that the kid is well under the 36 inch rule. The "eagle" had no choice but to throw it back. ;)

You got to give the students credit for creativity (obvious reason plus it fooled the experts), execution (going viral in a matter of day) , but failed on science (time of season and type of bird)

I love it :D

The talons would have totally messed that kid up!!
This reminded me of a cult classic...
Napoleon Dynamite: Do the chickens have large talons?
Farmer: Do they have what?
Napoleon Dynamite: Large talons.
Farmer: I don't understand a word you just said.

I don't think any research on this story before you originally posted would have led you to believe it was not true as alot of news outlets sure covered it as fact.

This really shows the power of the web and social media with how fast that video spread.

Yea, it was convincing. I almost posted a Stacy Westfall video a while back. On FB someone wrote she was deaf and mute yet trained this horse and road it bare back and bridleless in a few weeks.

She didn't post or say nothing of it. But it was a great ride and won some competion that day. A quick search turned up the lies from the FB poster. Here is the youtube vid of the ride without all the FB bs.
