I was sure I would get my answer right away by typing "bhphoto" on the search button but I was wrong. So please if I may indulge on my questions.
I wish to hear from a fellow Canadian who have purchased from B&H before.

When I search for the item I want. I foundtwo versions (external link) USA & Imported. Is the difference the way the warranty are handled? Secondly when I click on the add to cart. The price changed (Canon 10-22 $859.99 to $689.00). I'm glad of the lower price but is this normal?

After I'm done with my shopping. I changed the Country (Canada) and Province (AB), B&H customs clearance, and Purolator ground. Is Purolator my best delivery method? I don't mind if it's slow as long as it get to my door :D

Lastly, other than customs clearance and shipping. What other cost will I be expecting? I'd guessed none but I don't want to get blindsided at the door.

Thanks in advance.

Yes the ONLY difference is the warrenty.

If you read it a bit more you will see they have an "instant Savings" of $120. It is a rebate taken out of the store price rather than a mail in one. So When Canon allows this... yes it is normal. It even says 'Above price reflects $120.00 Instant savings' when you add it to the cart.

Purolator is most likely who they have a shipping contract with. It is about what company is cheaper for them. Not what is the best delivery method.

Warranty is different and I awlays get USA.

B&H sends gear to me via Purolator. They are OK but do not come back for a second delivery if you are not home. You have to go to their facility to pick it up. They are pretty quick.

If you choose to pay for all the fees like custom clearance up front using ground there will be no additional costs at you end. They offer you this when you are completing the order.

AB? I would check pricing at the Camera Store Calgary. A little while ago 600EX-RT flashes were priced lower than most other places in Canada, there was a instant rebate, no customs, etc fees and free shipping. Wound up $40 less than B&H when you added it all up.

I order from B&H or the Camera store. Depends who is less expensive at the time.

Thank you. For me it's the "peace of mind" thing. I just want want to verify that I was reading it right. Besides I did not get a "Not valid for Canadian resident". :D

Cheers!

I did check the Camera Store and Vistek but it's still cheaper to get it at B&H. Vistek was the only one that had all items in stock and the difference was $200

I have ordered from B&H several times. The Purolator ground shipping option covers all customs costs and there will be no extra charges for you when it is delivered.

Yeah. It is good to check all sources as you never know. B&H excellent to deal with as is the Camera Store.

Also, if you have a NAPP membership, you get free shipping and/or maybe some other perks. I think you have to go to B&H through the portal on NAPP's site, though.
