Recently picked up a T-005 5-Section Aluminum Tripod with C-10 head for a Costa Rica trip I have coming up next week and I have to say, I'm quite impressed and happy with the purchase.

The tripod is exactly what I wanted - extremely compact, light (it'll be in by backpack the entire trip, very important), sturdy and fairly cheap and to have an arca swiss style head already so I won't have to by another head/clamp. It is also quite tall (when fully extended) for the ultra compact size it folds into.

It feels great in my hands and I have no doubt it'll last quite a long time without issues. The fact that it comes with a 6 year warranty is another thing that adds quite a bit to my overall satisfaction with it.

For $130, I can't imagine a better option, it is perfect. And by the way, my other pro tripod is a RRS TVC33 so I'm comparing the SIRUI to one of the best tripods on the market today.

If you're on the market for a small travel tripod, don't think twice. It is just about perfect.

I have the Benro mefoto which is basically the same thing. Its about 12 inches folded. I have a Gitzo 2541 but I wanted something small and cheap for the same reason.

Right HERE (external link)

Yes, it includes a nice arca swiss style clamp too so if you've got an L plate on your camera, you're good to go.

The only negative with these is the center column does not go down.

Benro has the slightly larger version that also looks very nice for just $229
