I'm having a problem with my 5D2 changing brightness on me automatically. I have the dial set to manual, and the ISO and shutter speed set where i want it (manual-aperture lens), but when i start shooting, the video brightens up to what it thinks it should look like. i'm going for a very low-key, highlight only product shot with the background ambient completely killed (its an ugly warehouse) so i have a couple bright lights on it. when i start recording, the background fades into view and the contrast drops considerably.

what setting do I have wrong here?

nevermind, i figured it out. i was on "photo/movie" view for live view, and switched it to "movie" and that seemed to work.
