Got any more info about the error message? How exactly does the "Unknown Network" show up? Adobe uses network access as part of its security, at least in CS4 and later. Since they don't sell CS3 anymore, they may have disabled the servers that supported security for it - so what are you seeing?
In my network window, it listed as a network. The title is "Unknown Network" It is clickable, and the listed amount of incoming and outgoing data is identical to the amount listed on my actual "Network 3".
There are no error messages.
I sometimes do and sometimes don't have connectivity, and in either case the reported "internet" or "no internet" will be the same regardless of which network I look at.
When I don't have connectivity I will disable either network, the unknown or the actual one, then both will disappear from the networking window. After disabling then I troubleshoot and reinitialize. Once that is done, then only the actual "Network 3" will populate the networking window and this will reestablish connectivity.
I have a total of two Photoshop installations - I am using CS-5 on my photo machine, but I needed CS-3 on my home PC to access the ability to generate multipage PDFs. This functionality is absent on CS-5 (single page only).
Thank you for your interest, I hope this information presents my problem in a manner that is easily understood.
