Two generations in my family......
Still trying to perfect a b&w conversion.
I shot this very close, from above with a very tight crop in mind.
The b&w version just seems to work better for me.
Any comments...

I don't have daughters and my sons are 1/2 Chinese, 1/2 my husband (mixture of European ancestry), and they don't look a thing like either of us. This is really a beautiful shot. The b/w has good contrast and your tight crop is superb! ACDC, you are right, I never saw the resembelance to Chrissie Hynde in the photo, it's funny as I think the Mother resembles Annie Lennox. Both these singers are from the same era. JohhnyG, well spotted, I didnt even see that, but now you mention it I can't stop looking at the necklace (actually a strap of a dress). I will try to crop it out. FYI, I took this photo a while ago, and kept trying different ways to convert to b&w. This is the first version (of many attempts) that I am happy with, so happy I had it printed in 8x12. Thanks again. I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing. I'm talking about the object under the daughter's chin in the photo. You may be talking about the strap on the mother? Maybe we're talking about the same thing. Maybe we're talking about the same thing. I should have been more clear about it to start with. Sorry. It's still a very nice photo and one you should be extremely proud of!!! A little touch up will only improve it. Hey JohnnyG, I Like Pressing Buttons......
