Add to cart and price drops to $1899 and includes a free (probably lame) bag and a Sandisk 32GB mem card.

Crazy. I think it will be around $1600-$1700 in 6 months. What a bargain.

I really dont see too much of need to upgrade from 5DII to this camera if I use the center point/recompose on the 5DII. Even if the price of this camera drop to the D600 level, I would consider the Nikon entry FF if I was a new FF upgrader. Gear|Searching for 7DII, Buying 5DIII 35L II, 24-70 2.8L IS

This, by selling the lens, would be $1750.

If i was a fresh FF upgrader, I would just go for the Nikon D600 which I see better value and more offers in the package. Plus If you buy the kit lens combo and sell the lens, the D600 body costs around $1500..only. Sure a better choice to me. Gear|Searching for 7DII, Buying 5DIII 35L II, 24-70 2.8L IS

I have, sadly, come to the conclusion that I'm too steeped in Canon stuff even as an crop body monkey. Selling all the ancillaries off is just too much trouble.

Even if IQ is equal, Nikon's AF system kills the counterpart. Plus it has a built in flash that you can use in a pinch. "Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift.
