I would love to, one day, own one of these. Especially if video is something that becomes more of an interest. Looks like a sweet lens. ;)

There's no sense in just owning one. At that point it's a glorified 85 1.2. The whole point of the cinema lens lineup is for identical colors and exposures over the whole line. A CN-E 85 looks identical at T/2 to a CN-E 50 at T/2 except for the angle of view.

Still, I'll admit they're really cool. I wouldn't be unhappy if a set of primes arrived on my doorstep.

It's like any L...you can't just own one. Though...if I 'really' had to...it'd just be my 85L II. haha.
And yeah, if a set miraculously showed up, well...that'd be the bomb. :)

For sure. I already have an 85L II...but, I'm sure the cine lenses would be cool to use for video. ;)
