Just got CEP4 and was really excited to try it out. Opened up an image in it and all I got was gray boxes. Anyone know how to fix this? I managed to get a single JPEG to become viewable one time but I haven't been able to duplicate that again.

I read somewhere else that it might be my video card?
This is my system:

Lenovo Thinkpad T530
--
8gb RAM
500gb HD
64-bit OS
Intel i5 @ 2.5GHz
Intel HD Graphics 4000

PhotoshopE10
Wacom Intuos5 Medium (don't think that matters)
Really disappointed that it hasn't worked out of box.
-----------
UPDATE:

I just called up Nik. It is not my version (I downloaded from online). It is my video card compatibility with the program. The guy that I talked with is sending me an email to tell me how to either update my graphics software to allow for use of Nik, or to disable the part of Nik that doesn't like my graphics card.
I will post the full length email on how to fix the problem when I get the email. Further google searches have turned up that this is a problem with many people :(

tried to mess with it on my own. It seems that turning off the GPU processing in CEP has got it to work. It is now opening the images. Now waiting for email that confirms this.

What OS? (Vista, Win 7/8)
Have you updated the program from the web site as the boxed copy may be an older version?

Color Efex isn't a stand alone program. It works in conjunction with Photoshop or Lightroom. You have to open the photo in your editor and then open Color Efex from within PS, PSE or LR.

I have windows 7. I got NCEP from Wacom as a packaged deal. The code is literally no more than a month old.

I am aware of this. Opening the image from PSE to Nik makes gray boxes appear in the place of what should be my image.

.

But have you installed from a disc or downloaded the latest revision? If you received a disc it could have an old version on it.

As you say, it could be video drivers...
