This was a pit shoot, but we were sequestered to stage right, and Pete was on the other side of the stage. with a music stand in the way. So, angles were limited, and clear shots of Pete really depended on if he stepped away from the mic, and if Daltrey didn't happen to get in the way.

the light was pretty good, though, and the performance was great. I saw Daltrey do Tommy two years ago, but Quadrophenia is my fave Who record and i was really excited to shoot the show and then watch the concert.

You wouldn't really guess that there was only a limited angle to shoot from. #2 is great!

well to be fair, they were playing the entire Quadrophenia album...when's the last time they played "The Dirty Jobs" or "The Punk Meets The Godfather" in concert?

Love them all, especially #6 ( Long time Who fan here and I can almost hear what Pete is doing in that shot).

#2 is a classic Roger shot too. Great stuff.

Did you ever get any stuff when Entwistle was still alive?

Thanks Pat.

No, unfortunately i started shooting in 2006, well after I had my chances...I first saw The Who in '82 on their 'first' farewell tour, and then later in '89 on their 2nd farewell tour...also saw Entwhistle at The Living Room, a small club in Providence, when i was at college.

Thanks Ian. I could crop out the mic but it would force Pete even closer to the right edge. I rarely used my 24-70 for this show but it would have helped there.

I'd probably crop #1 a bit all around.

Okay set, I like 2…6 best.
