First i would like to mention those are just awesome, breathtaking images. Wonderfull job!

In my humble opinion (as this is the critique corner) i think there's too much going on in these pictures to hang on the wall, except for the second image.
Not sure how to say this, but these pictures sort of scream at you, instead of easing your mind while chilling in the livingroom ;)

As you can see they do an awesome job!!

I thought I posted about this but anyway.

CG is for professional photographers who are looking to sell their work. Right from their page:

Are you now the "Chief of the Print Police"? Your snide comments add nothing to this thread.

Not being snide at all. Just saying that's the policy and accounts/orders can be revoked due to it.

I fail to see the point to your post. Seems like you are trying to imply that the OP has committed some grievous sin by having prints done by this company. Are you a spokesperson for them? Are you in charge of determining what qualifies as "professional" for them? If not, your comments come across as a lame ass attempt to belittle the work of another forum member. Such behavior is neither appropriate or acceptable here.

I didn't read anything snide into it.....I took it as he was just pointing something out about the site.

My post was removed when I asked "how is a professional determined in the company's eyes"?
I would like to use this company if I plan to do some canvas images.
The prices are very good.

So can I put that question back out there? I'm a bit nervous about asking..and not sure why it was removed in the first place.

My post was also deleted for some reason. I want to clear the air by stating we do own a photography web site and the canvas prints are available for purchase. They are listed on Craigslist. We have even talked about setting up a booth at local art fairs. So technically we are professional photographers, just not to successful with sales at this point :p But, we both have great careers so we're not pressured to make money in this business, but it would be nice

Thanks to all for the feedback!

I think the Mods didnt like Numenorean's comment and deleted it and then the ones that had quoted it in replies.

I dont think you have to explain yourself JJD.

What does that company care if I had ordered a canvas print from them? They still get as much money for it as a "pro" who may only order from them once.
"pro photographers artists to print their original work" could be anyone. What makes someone a pro?
That was beaten to death in other threads. LOL

Congrats again on the awesome shots and prints.

Thanks for the kind words. CG Pro prints does not ask for any business information so I am not sure why the site states that.

I think you will find companies make statements like that because it helps minimize dissatisfied customers. There are a lot of people that are proud of their work, but it might not print very well, they might not have the ability to properly size and format an image or any of a number of things that can negatively effect the outcome of a finished print. By sharing that disclaimer, people think twice about submitting their work, which is ultimately good for the company....as they don't have to try to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

The images shared by the OP certainly don't fall into that latter category. They appear to be well exposed, well focused and pleasing compositions that obviously print well.
