WoW! That sure is a great shot! I think it is mighty difficult to capture a snowflake so well. Good for you!

I used a 5d mII with the mp-e 65mm at 4X. For lighting I had the mt-24ex flash. Hardest part is finding the snowflake in the view finder!

Very nice. We are getting hit hard with a winter storm right now. I'm tempted to brave it for some shots.

I was just about to ask what lens b/c we had a foot of snow last night and I gave it a try with my 105mm and extension tubes and it was not near close enough...

You can try with your 50mm reversed on the 105mm! It will give you about 3x and with the extension tubes on you get about 5x!
