I really like this shot. There's only one comfort cab in the whole picture.

Hey Thos - Which one is the comfort cab? Is the Indio yard the place you get chased out of now and then? I'm guessing you were 6 or 8 feet away from the track and that the three were moving away from you ("TRAIL ONLY"). In any case, I like it.

As always, nice photograph. I always look foward to seeing your train photographs. I like seeing old locomotives still being used in active service.

The second UP (yellow) locomotive has a comfort cab. Actually, they were parked and had no crew on board.

I was tempted, but figured I probably wouldn't get too far with them.

Thanks, Marie.

The term 'comfort' in connection with railroad locomotives takes a little stretch of imagination. They are a bit nicer than they used to be, but they're not the sort of place most of us would enjoy spending our 'quiet' time.

I keep going back to the spot where the bus once sat. I keep hoping it will magically reappear someday. :(

I really like the trees - they give this shot an exotic look to it.
