hard to believe that a year ago I brought huey home! Back then, he seemed so large, now he is just a big toy that I lug around. I am still to get used to the looks and comments I get. Funny how many people say 'what a big camera you have!"
So to celebrate a wonderful year of bird photography, here are some I took a few days ago, my first birding outing in ages actually.
For those of you who don't know huey, he is my oversized baby, a canon 800mm.

Tina, those are all excellent. The lens is a huge investment but when you get results like that, it has to be worth it :)

Wonderful shots Tina, an 800mm is a lot of lens to drag around but it certainly does the business for you.

Tina, these are beautiful shots to attest to your new friend's acuity! Do you have a Sherpa guide to help carry it around?

See, just like I said somewhere else: it's a love affair between the two of you and these excellent shots prove it. Wonderful work, Tina.

thankyou everyone for your lovely comments. It certainly has been a good year for birds, and hopefully 2013 will be too.
Lol Ian, no such luck, I have to lug him myself!
