I've been interested in this lens from the start and I don't use the 35mm focal length very often. I will get this lens when I have some money! :D

I'm getting it in Nikon mount for my D600. If I ever want to put it on my MK3, it's possible. Can't go the other way though.

I've been seeing a lot of comments where people say Canon needs to step it up or lower their prices and it makes me chuckle a bit because Canon has dominated with their 35L and it's only now that Sigma has caught up/taken over. Gotta hand it to Canon for keeping the belt for such a long time.

I myself stopped looking for an inexpensive 35L and purchased Sigmas.

And that is alone made me to dismiss the Zeiss, i am not very good in Manual focus and i don't want to have more manual focus lenses, i can't be sure when i need AF focus to make my shooting easier and quicker, i may accept Manual focus with Macro lens or few long primes.

I will say this:

The Sigma is certainly one of the most "prettiest" lens I've seen in a while. Very minimal, clean black look. I guess it just depends on how well built it is though.

Honestly, i was not that much happy with their old design, it was fine for me, but looking at the new design for those new siggy lenses i can say it is now more elegant, not sure about all lenses, but the 35 looks like more appealing than Siggy 30 or old design.
