I've seen this guy before but this time he was chasing the opposite sex. Two does ran past me than on my left towards the sun he had stopped very close to me. I fired of a shot quickly, the reason for the missed focus, wrong setting, poor lighting... I tried different PP and for now this is the best I got. I still like the shot, hope you do also. Surprised the rut is still on this late in the year.
Thanks for looking, C&C always welcome.

A great shot - and wonderful pose. Thank you for sharing.

I love the shot! I would be VERY happy with it.
At least one of those does probably wasn’t bred in November. A second estrus occurs approximately 28 days later in un-bred does which would explain the rutting activity.

The pose and content make up for any technicalities, love it.

Hey, Claude
I love the way you were able to capture the steam breath coming out of him - that's great!
Nice buck - he looks like a mature, dominant individual.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thanks Jeremy and Abby. Yes for wildlife the 100-400L definitely has it's merits as this was shot at 100mm.
