I've just conquered two new barriers today my first prime and my first third party lens, a Sigma 35mm 1.4. After all the great reviews it's had I thought it was a worthy addition.

Just snapped off a few shots of the dog indoors at 1.4 and 2.0 and am pretty impressed so far.

I purchased from a local retail store in Australia for $835. Cheaper than all the Hong Kong based grey import sites were selling it for too. No wait and a 2 year local warranty.

That's a really good price. How accurate is your autofocus? No MA needed?

Yeah I was shocked at the price as when I buy Canon products it's usually more expensive than the RRP in the USA. It was retailing for $850 and they still knocked $15 off.

Autofocus is fast and accurate on the few shots I've taken. A little more time with it in my hands is needed though.

I thought the MA was in reference too the USB adaptor that can be used to adjust the autofocus that is coming next year.

Teds in Brisbane. I'm sure they have the same price nationally.
